Diversity

I attended the engineering Diversity Event. I thought that the speaker was a little difficult for me to understand just because it was kind of from the engineers point of view. The one thing that I did understand about his speech is how Diversity is in the numbers. You can have one very diverse group of people and having them all work together the end result tends to be better. I think this was because you have everyones diffrent point of views, and if you look at them all they all mean something diffrent but yet they help you understand the bigger picture in the end.  No matter how diverse people are, you can always find something in common with that person.

A Week of Twitter!!!

My week of twitter was an interesting one. I felt that setting up an account and remembering to tweet was kind of a difficult thing to do. I felt this way because I personally have more than one social network, and trying to remember to post on each one was hard. My tweets tended to be more about how I felt that day and what my schedule was like. Even though this seems kind of boring to some, I really liked tweeting. It was interesting to see what all everyone else had to say during the day, and to see what else everyone was doing.
I think that I will find value in continuing my Twitter account by using it to network, staying touch with my friends and future employeers, and helping me to become more informed about what else is going on in the world besides whats going on just in my life. Having a Twitter account helped me stay in touch with other peers about diffrent things during the day,  such as other class assingments. I think that I will continue to use my twitter account, because once I got used to using it I felt it was very resourceful and informative. Being able to follow other sites was something I liked, especially the horse sites I followed. Twitter kept me up to date on events that were happening with them, which was interesting to see how many people actually DO use twitter. I personally had never even heard of twitter before this assingment and after one week I feel alot more involved in the world.
